She ensures that Original Text Publications’ non-fiction output is as theologically sound as possible, while presenting the content in a way that is easy to understand and easily accessible to a person with no theological background.
Fiction Output
Original Text Publications’ fiction output is exciting and entertaining, but will never become dark or grim to the point of glorifying darkness and will never include sex scenes. It will seek to be thought-provoking in a healthy and positive way, and in such a way as to enhance, rather than detract from, the entertainment value of the story. Though it may explore challenging issues, it will always lead readers to a place of hope.
Ethics
Original Text Publications’ core ethical value is kindness, and it seeks always to treat others as its owner wishes to be treated. It seeks to weave the ethics of kindness into all its business decisions. It favours fair trade and environmentally responsible sources wherever possible, and uses a bank with a solid ethical reputation. It will always deal with others respectfully and honourably.
The business aims to be as inclusive and accessible as possible, and plans for large print and audiobook versions of its publications are in the works. It also tries to make its websites friendly to people with dyslexia.
